01 / FIELD NOTE
1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using Device-Test, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
02 / FIELD NOTE
2. What Device-Test provides
Device-Test provides browser-based utilities that help you inspect whether supported cameras, microphones, speakers, displays, input devices, network features, and sensors respond through browser APIs. Results are informational and may vary by browser, operating system, permissions, drivers, and hardware.
03 / FIELD NOTE
3. Permissions, local processing, and privacy
Hardware access begins only when you choose a test and grant the relevant browser permission. Live device data used by the tests is designed to be processed in your browser. Website analytics, advertising, cookies, and third-party requests are described in the Privacy Policy.
04 / FIELD NOTE
4. Acceptable use
- Use the service only for lawful purposes and only with devices you are authorized to test
- Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, scrape abusively, reverse engineer, or bypass security controls
- Do not misrepresent Device-Test results as a certified hardware, safety, medical, or compliance assessment
05 / FIELD NOTE
5. No professional diagnosis or guarantee
Device-Test is a convenience utility, not a substitute for manufacturer diagnostics, qualified repair advice, accessibility certification, security testing, or professional technical support. A passing browser test does not guarantee that hardware will work in every app or workflow.
06 / FIELD NOTE
6. Intellectual property
The Device-Test name, interface, original text, graphics, and software are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may link to public pages and use the service for personal or internal business troubleshooting, but you may not republish or resell substantial parts of the service without permission.
07 / FIELD NOTE
7. Third-party services and links
The website may load fonts, analytics, advertising, or linked resources provided by third parties. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy practices. Device-Test is not affiliated with Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams unless expressly stated.
08 / FIELD NOTE
8. Availability and changes
We may update, suspend, or discontinue tests as browsers and web standards change. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or compatibility with every device.
09 / FIELD NOTE
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Device-Test is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Device-Test and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10 / FIELD NOTE
10. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms when the service or legal requirements change. The updated version will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
